Sabka Vishwas – Legacy Dispute Resolution Scheme notification
Ministry of Finance has notified Sabka Vishwas – Legacy Dispute Resolution Scheme. The Scheme will be operationalized from 1st September 2019. The Scheme would continue till 31st December 2019.
Government expects the Scheme to be availed by large number of taxpayers for closing their pending disputes relating to legacy Service Tax and Central Excise cases that are now subsumed under GST so they can focus on GST.

GSR…….(E).- In exercise of the power conferred by sub-section (2) of
section 120 of the Finance (No. 2) Act, 2019, the Central Government hereby appoints the 1st of September, 2019 as the date on which the Sabka Vishwas (Legacy Dispute Resolution) Scheme, 2019 shall come into force.
