How to apply for registration of charitable or religious trust or institution?
Application for registration of charitable or religious trust or institution is made in form 10A. Form 10A is an application, made pursuant to clause (aa) or clause (ab) of sub-section (1) of section 12A of Income Tax Act.
What are the documents required to be submitted along with Form 10A?
Documents required to be submitted along with Form 10A are:
a) where the trust is created, or the institution is established, under an instrument, self-certified copy of the instrument creating the trust or establishing the institution;
(b) where the trust is created, or the institution is established, otherwise than under an instrument, self-certified copy of the document evidencing the creation of the trust, or establishment of the institution;
(c) self-certified copy of registration with Registrar of Companies or Registrar of Firms and Societies or Registrar of Public Trusts, as the case may be;
(d) self-certified copy of the documents evidencing adoption or modification of the objects, if any;
What is the Procedure to file Form 10A?
Step 1 – Log on to ‘ E-filing ‘ portal through https://ift.tt/1a1kJf1
Step 2 – Go to ” E-file” menu located at the upper -left side of the page and click on ‘Income Tax Forms’
Step 3 – Select Assessment Year and Form 10A from drop down list .
Step 4 – Select the ‘submission mode’ as ‘ Prepare and submit online’ from the drop down list and click on ‘continue’.
Step 5 – Read the instructions carefully before filing the Form and click on ” submit” to complete the process.
