GST Council Meeting to be held on 14th June 2020: Tax Collection badly hit due to lockdown
Amid pressure of tax collection, GST Council Meeting to be held on 14th June 2020.
Meeting will be chaired by our Finance Minister and will comprise of representatives of all the states. It will be held via video conferencing.
Some of the issues to be discussed are:
- Increasing goods and services tax (GST) rates on non-essential items
- Waiver of GST late fee
- Proposal of introducing a calamity cess
