ICAI Election 2021: Procedure of Casting Valid Votes
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India will hold elections for the twenty-fifth council for thirty-two seats from five regions and twenty-fourth regional councils from five regional constituencies on the 3rd and 4th of December 2021 in cities with 1000 or more members, and on the 4th of December in other cities/towns.
In ICAI Elections Members of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India will Cast vote on 3rd and 4th of December 2021.
Below is Procedure of Casting Valid Votes:
A voter shall have one vote only, but shall have as many preferences as there are candidates
Voter shall only mark the preference in Arabic Numerals i.e. 1, 2 , 3 ….
Vote must be marked in squares opposite the name of candidates
Votes will be marked Invalid in below situations:
Preference Marked in words
Preference Marked in Roman Numbers
1st Preference not Marked to any candidates
Preference marked outside the box
Writing anything other than valid preference on Ballot Paper
Tick symbol is used instead marking preference
Marking same preference to more than one candidate, makes that preference and all the subsequent preferences invalid.
Always cast all preferences
1,2,3,4,5,6 for CCM
1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 for RCM
Never cast only one preference.
