Overview:

Amazon is seeking for an experienced Senior Finance Associate at their Bangalore location. This job will require exceptional communication and interpersonal skills while having the ability to work independently in a high pressure environment, fast paced and exercise sound judgment where clear guidelines may not exist. The successful candidate will be proficient at solving complex challenges and possess a bias to get things done and deliver results.

Roles and responsibilities:

The ideal candidate should be able to:

• Undertake risk assessments as required and follow up control measures to completion
• Own, understand, defend and communicate the objectives and the scope of a project task, as well as, the role and function of each team member and stakeholders in order to deliver and maintain high quality outputs for Incident analysis.
• Identify gaps in controls and processes and escalates to manager.
• Create Incident repository with dashboard updates, perform risk assessment from available attributes, search for best possible attribute to support risk assessment and provide recommendation to manage and reduce risk.
• Take a Deep Dive into safety data, as candidate monitor’s incidents and near miss events data from Gensuite.
• Weekly report to furnish trend charts and insights on the incidents and near misses happened in a week.
• Create multiple incident analysis report based on project stage like ideation, problem solve, specific ask based.
• Become a subject matter expert in your specific level of competence, while staying vigilant and not disclosing any sensitive information outside of your particular level,
• Investigate accidents, near misses and any incidents, to establish root cause,
• Update internal records regarding incidents, near misses and accidents.
• Work with technology teams to contribute towards development/ improvement of portals, dashboards and online tools including logic validation.
• Work towards automation of analysis to reduce manual effect and automate key part of the process.
• Consult Legal for guidance on Health & Safety program issues, specific use cases or escalations based on manager direction.
• Conduct self professionally at all times and maintain confidentiality in matters involving safety investigations
• Earn trust of peers by understanding operational processes related to risk management programs.
• Know when to ask for help and drives accountability for results.

The ideal candidate should also have:

• Excellent communication, both verbal and written as you will be required to convey updates on issues, operational status and business drivers during shift changes as needed throughout the activity cycle and during daily/weekly reviews.
• Flexibility on hours worked to cover shifts
• Advanced MS excel Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in analytical techniques
• Strong relationship building/ networking/ interpersonal skills.
• Experience in managing Amazon projects / Playbook
• Change agent with energy, passion and skill to drive improvements.

Eligibility:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher with Diploma in industrial safety or equivalent
• NEBOSH certification or equivalent
• Additional 1-2 years’ experience as a business analyst/ data analyst
