Overview:

Goldman Sachs is looking for full time Finance Analyst at their Bangalore location. The role is of Business management which requires management of daily P&L and supporting desk managers in any kind of Ad-hoc request relating to revenue/expenses. The work involves working with the Global Divisional CFO and Franchisee managers across regions/business desks. It also involves keeping effective control over expenses, preparing quarterly forecast/annual budgets, managing quarterly Balance Sheet meetings and managing regulatory and other requirements including presentations to senior management in NY.

The role would also entail in-depth analysis and reporting for the management to take decisions, therefore, eye to detail is a prerequisite for this role. The candidate is required to work with the counter parts across regions on ad-hoc reports, apart from regular reporting and analysis.

Roles and Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate should be able to:

• Prepare detailed daily and weekly reports highlighting divisional performance to firm-wide leadership
• Improve management decision making capabilities through effective reporting and analysis of data, primarily focused on expenses
• Analyze variances and trend of spend and provide business with regular cost reports supported by well written commentaries
• Play key role in expense management initiatives including automation
• Support Business Planning / Forecasting exercise
• Manage month-end close activities including creation of journal entries, accruals for key expense categories
• Support the team in finalizing presentations and documentation activities
• Support other ad-hoc projects and analysis for senior leadership

 

The ideal candidate should also have:

• Solid attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Strong creative presentation aptitude
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Advanced understanding of Microsoft Office products, tools for business use.
• Experience of financial tools and applications including PeopleSoft 8.9 (General Ledger, Accounts Payable) and Hyperion Essbase / SmartView is preferred

Eligibility:

C.A. with 0-2 years of experience in financial services industry

Experience in an expense management/ analytical function is preferred.
